Enhancing eLearning
This project for GCP Central involved redesigning both the Information Architecture (IA) and the user interface to enhance the platform’s look and usability. We created an agile, on-demand learning environment with bite-sized modules for flexible, virtual learning.
Background
The platform was designed to support learners, but its existing structure often made accessing content more time-consuming than necessary. The user journey lacked clarity, creating friction that distracted from the core learning experience. Recognizing this, we set out to restructure and streamline the IA, ensuring that users could navigate intuitively, find relevant content easily, and focus on learning rather than struggling with the interface.

Approach
We started by redesigning the IA, simplifying content organization and eliminating unnecessary steps to reduce cognitive load. Wireframes were created to outline key interactions, ensuring a structured, logical flow that prioritized usability. Through an iterative design process, we refined navigation and layout, gathering stakeholder feedback to ensure alignment with user needs.
Once the structure was validated, we moved into low-fidelity prototyping to test navigation and IA functionality. With a strong foundation in place, we developed a design library and component system, ensuring a cohesive, visually consistent UI across the platform.
Impact
The redesigned IA and structured design process resulted in a more intuitive, engaging learning experience. Users could now navigate effortlessly, access content faster, and focus on learning without distractions. The improved structure boosted engagement and usability, reinforcing the platform’s role as a seamless, learner-centric tool.
